Project Description

This 4 storey masonry building used as a hydro substation was constructed in the early 1900s. The Client needed to make changes to permit expanded use while at the same time maintaining the heritage character of the building. Parts of the changes were the installation of a 3 ton permanent crane on the third floor and the replacement of some heritage features. As the prime consultant and project manager, PEG assembled the project team comprising of structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical and heritage consultants to complete the assignment from problem definition through work acceptance and project closeout.
